How are animals and plants adapting to the increasing number of natural disasters linked to climate change? Although some species have evolved over millions of years to withstand extreme events, the current climate crisis requires unprecedented and rapid adaptation.
Fires, radioactive radiation and volcanic eruptions can devastate entire ecosystems for decades. Our three-part documentary series explores how life reclaims its rights after these disasters. We follow scientists studying this regeneration process, discovering remarkable survival strategies, identifying the first organisms capable of recolonising these hostile environments and their extraordinary adaptation mechanisms.
